Several counties in eastern Kentucky were hit by devastating flooding from the end of July through the first week of August, 2022, that left 39 people dead as of Monday, Aug. 15, 2022.Â

The governor said the session could happen within the next four weeks, though an exact date has not yet been announced.
The special session will begin at noon Wednesday.
Tip-off is set for 6 p.m. Saturday.
