In just a few months, the Highlander Fire Department will assume all of the EMS service for their area. Â
The fire was reported around 12:30 a.m. Tuesday in the 200 block of Sheri Drive in Georgetown.
If approved, the new district would cover nearly all of Floyd County — excluding the city of New Albany — and require roughly $12 million per year to operate.
