Speaking to reporters at Zachary Taylor Elementary, JCPS Superintendent Dr. Marty Pollio says he's simply trying to follow the guidance from the CDC and the state.
Dr. Steven Stack said during a news conference that the stateās guidance for K-12 school systems has been updated to reflect similar recommendations from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention that were also revised this week amid an escalation of COVID-19 cases driven by the more infectious delta variant.
More than 4.2 million kids have tested positive for Covid-19 since the start of the pandemic.Ā
