The Kentucky Blood Center said it has a critical need for people to roll up their sleeves and give the gift of life.
A special collection event will be held at the center's Hillview Donation Center on Thursday, Dec. 10.
The center said it shipped nearly 8,000 units of blood last month, the most in its 52-year history.
