It’s only the second time both of the national lottery games have topped $500 million.
Beginning on Aug. 23, the Powerball is adding a Monday drawing.
The change will begin Monday, Aug. 23, marking the first time the game will expand beyond two weekly drawings since it was launched 29 years ago.
