It's one of only six library branches across the country to receive the honor.
The libraries are donating their computer power to COVID-19 research focused on diseases as part of a project called "Folding@Home," according to a news release.
The free event for preschoolers and their families will be held from 10 a.m. to noon on May 15 at Southern High School.
