LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A man is dead and two others are hurt after a camper caught fire in southern Indiana earlier this year.

Indiana Department of Homeland Security spokesman David Hosick said in a written statement that Indiana State Fire Marshal investigators were called to the 2400 block of East Radio Tower Road in Scottsburg just after 6 p.m. on Dec. 20 to assist in a fire investigation.

When crews arrived, they found a man inside the trailer who died as a result of the fire.

A woman and a juvenile female were also taken to a Louisville-area hospital for treatment of burns and smoke inhalation, according to Hosick. Their current conditions are unavailable at this time.

The fire was believed to have started in the bedroom entryway of the camper. The property belongs to one of the adults involved in the fire.

Investigators are working to determine the cause of the fire.
