LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The wife of Glasgow Police sergeant was killed in a head-on crash in Taylor County on Sunday and injured three people.

In a release, Kentucky State Police said an investigation is under way into the two--vehicle crash on KY 55 around 4:12 p.m. on April 21.

KSP said the initial investigation showed a 2002 Ford F-150 was traveling north on KY 55 near Campbellsville, when it crossed over into the southbound lane and crashed head-on into a 2021 Nissan Rogue.Ā 

Tracy York-Murrell, 39, of Columbia, Kentucky was driving the Nissan. She died died at the scene.Ā  Her husband, Glasgow Police Sgt. Cameron Murrell, 33, was in the car and was injured. He was taken to UofL Health Hospital in downtown Louisville. He has since been released.Ā 

Glasgow Police Chief Guy Howie said in a statement that the entire department extends its sincerest condolences and support to Sgt. Murrell and his family.Ā 

"We ask that the community respect the privacy of the Murrell family as they grieve the loss of Tracy. Our department is providing Sgt. Murrell with the necessary support and resources, and we will continue to stand by him as he copes with this tragedy," said Chief Howie.Ā 

The driver and a passenger in the Ford F-150 were taken to UofL Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. No additional updates were given.Ā 

Kentucky State Police continues to investigate.Ā
