LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A man was taken to UofL Hospital after he was shot in New Albany early Tuesday.Â
The shooting happened around 6 a.m., according to a news release from New Albany Police Chief Todd Bailey. That's when police were sent to the 900 block of E. 8th Street on reports of a shooting. Officers arrived at that location and found a man with a gunshot wound outside a residence.
One person was taken into custody at the scene, Bailey said in the release, but added that no charges have been filed yet.Â
The victim's injuries were not considered life-threatening.Â
No additional information is available at this time as the investigation continues.Â
