LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Dozens of JCPS school students come together to raise money for Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's "Pennies for Patients".
The organization helps to find cures for leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma and also offers support to the patients and their families.
The 39 schools that participated in the Pennies for Patients program raised more than 30-thousand dollars.
Collectively, 364 schools in the Kentuckiana area have raised more than 365-thousand dollars - the largest amount raised in Kentucky-Southern Indiana chapter.
