LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Five people were taken to the hospital after a car rear-ended an Amish buggy Thursday in Breckinridge County.
Kentucky State Police said officers responded around 4:15 p.m. near the 14000 block of South KY 259. Police said 55-year-old Brenda Aubrey was driving south when she rear-ended a horse-drawn buggy.Â
The operator of the buggy, 33-year-old Elise Girod, and three juvenile passengers were taken to UofL Hospital. Two of the juveniles were released, but Girod and one juvenile passenger remain hospitalized with life-threatening injuries.
Aubrey suffered non-life threatening injuries, police said.
The investigation remains ongoing.
