LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A woman critically injured in a house fire weeks ago in Buechel has died.
The Jefferson County Coroner said Stacy Lasley, 50, died on Feb. 2 from burns she sustained in the house fire.
The fire was reported after 4 p.m. on Jan. 5 in the 2200 block of Beargrass Avenue, just off Bardstown Road in Buechel.
DeWayne Hutchens, assistant chief of the Fern Creek Fire Department, said an off-duty Shelby County firefighter who lives in the area rushed to the scene and pulled one person from the home before Fern Creek crews arrived.
Responding firefighters pulled Lasley out of a hallway. She was rushed to the hospital in critical condition. She died nearly a month after the fire.
