LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A 70-year-old man died in crash early Monday morning on KY 88 in Hart County.
Kentucky State Police said troopers responded just after midnight to Hardyville Road and Birchwood Lane on what was reported as a possible fatal collision.
Troopers' initial investigation showed Phillip Hodson, 70, was traveling east on Hardyville Road, when he crossed into the westbound lane, colliding with an oncoming car. Three occupants of the car were transported to area hospitals. Their conditions are unknown.
KSP said Hodson was pronounced dead at the scene by the Hardin County coroner.
KSP, the Hart County Sheriff's Office and several other agencies are investigating the crash.
