LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Fort Knox welcomed a special guest this weekend for a night of music and fun.
Actor Gary Sinise and the Lt. Dan Band took to the stage at Brooks Field Saturday night.
The band often boosts morale on military bases here in the U.S. and around the world.
The Gary Sinise Foundation helps provide resources to veterans, first responders and their families.
The band's name comes from Sinise's character of Lt. Dan "Forrest Gump" - for which he was nominated for an Academy Award.
The concert on July 27th raised over $17,000.
