LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The American Red Cross held a ribbon cutting for its regional headquarters in Louisville Wednesday.
The American Red Cross Kentucky Region completed a two-year renovation of its Louisville facility. It will serve as the fully integrated regional headquarters.
According to a news release, the updated site includes enhancement to its blood donation center and improved capacity. The nonprofit provides disaster relief, blood services, training and certification, service to armed forces and international services.
"When you think about who our neighbors are just in the community here, it makes sense that this is where we bring our blood donation center and lab," said Nadine McCrindle, Regional CEOÂ of Red Cross. "We're a really important part of the community here and we're proud to be part of it as well."Â
The renovated facility is located at 520 East Chestnut Street near downtown Louisville.Â
