LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Anchorage Middletown Fire and EMS is searching for applicants for its upcoming academy class.
The fire training academy takes around 28 weeks for recruits. The recruits learn necessary skills to become proficient firefighters and EMTs.
The class is scheduled to begin in July. The second largest fire and EMS department in Kentucky that serves eastern Jefferson County and Louisville is equipped to conduct CPAT testing on-site.
Applicants can practice taking the Candidate Physical Ability Test or CPAT on Feb. 27 from 7 to 10 p.m., March 12 from 7 to 10 p.m. and March 16 from 9 a.m. to noon.
