LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Buffalo Trace Distillery is giving bourbon lovers a chance to relive summer camp, with a Kentucky twist.

The Frankfort distillery announced Camp Buffalo Trace, a new experience for adults 21 and older that blends bourbon education with interactive activities inspired by traditional summer camp.

The event will take place Aug. 29 and Sept. 5 and feature experiences including a barrel stave woodworking workshop, blind bourbon tastings, trivia and a tasting challenge that explores how aging affects a bourbon's flavor.

Some attendees will also have the chance to spend the night on the distillery grounds in furnished, air-conditioned canvas tents as part of a limited overnight experience.

Attendance is available only through a free online sweepstakes. Across both event dates, Buffalo Trace will select 90 winners, each receiving one guest pass, for the day camp experience and 10 winners, each receiving one guest pass, for the overnight package.

The sweepstakes opens July 14 at noon EDT and closes July 21 at 11:59 a.m. EDT. No purchase is necessary to enter.
