LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Kentucky soda company will release a new drink for the summer.
Ale-8-One will release a limited-edition StrawMelon Ale-8, a combination of ginger and citrus with a blend of strawberry and watermelon.
"StrawMelon Ale-8 reflects Ale-8's continued commitment to our Kentucky roots and vines, crafting a recipe from fruits common to Bluegrass summers," Kevin Price, chief marketing officer at Ale-8-One, said in a news release. "This limited run of StrawMelon Ale-8 is a farm to flavor celebration of the natural splendors of our local agriculture and the hard-working people that cultivate sweet summer treats."
According to a news release, the drinks will be available in four-packs at Kroger and Walmart retailers around the state.Â
Ale-8-One was founded in 1902 in Winchester, Ky.Â
