LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Bellewood & Brooklawn is selling one of its campuses in Anchorage.
The Bellewood campus school building was built in 1954. The organization plans to sell the Bellewood campus, which has operated since 1859, to increase operational efficiencies, according to a news release.
The nonprofit will relocate all Louisville-based residents and staff to its Brooklawn campus near Bashford Manor.
"Bellewood & Brooklawn has provided care to Kentucky’s children and families for more than 175 years, and Bellewood traces its roots to 1859 in the Anchorage community,” Chris Teeley, chief executive officer of Bellewood & Brooklawn, said in a news release. “The best opportunity to better serve Kentucky’s children and families is to sell the Bellewood property and provide all services at a single campus.”
There are currently two residential campuses in the Louisville area.
Bellewood & Brooklawn serves abused and neglected youth in Kentucky with residential psychiatric care, therapeutic foster care and community based services. To learn more about the nonprofit, click here.
