LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A 100% woman-owned tea company will break ground on a facility in Jeffersontown on Monday.

Bigelow Tea will build a 265,000 sq. ft. facility at 2706 Blankenbaker Parkway. The family-operated tea company, founded in 1945, already has a facility on Constant Comment Place.

Back in 2021, the company announced it was going to build a new 334,000-square-foot facility on Blankenbaker Parkway which would create 31 new jobs. The facility was originally expected to open by summer of 2024.
