LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A restaurant in Jeffersontown will be featured on America's Best Restaurants in January.
Barcelona Bistro Bar, located 10415 Taylorsville Road, will be featured by the national media company that focuses on bringing attention to local businesses. America's Best Restaurant Roadshow is scheduled to visit Jan. 13.
According to a news release Monday, popular dishes will be featured, and the owners, Yuniska and Yasleydis Gonzalez, a mother and daughter, will be interviewed. The episode will be aired on a later date.
Yuni Gonzalez is a Cuban native with Spanish grandparents. She is a former employee of Barcelona Bistro Bar. After original owner, Alba Clemontson retired, Gonzalez took over the restaurant in 2023.
Some menu items that will be featured include patatas bravas, lasagna Bolognese and croquettes, either with Spanish serrano ham or seafood.
"With the area that we're in, we still have a lot of people that are like, 'Oh, we didn't even know you were here,'" Yasleydis said in a news release. "We are kind of like a hidden little gem in (Jeffersontown)."
America's Best Restaurants has previously filmed at Great Flood Brewing, Daddy Vic's and The Manhattan Project.
