LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A casino in southern Indiana is celebrating its 25th anniversary in November.
Caesars Southern Indiana will mark its 25th anniversary on Nov. 20. The casino opened in 1998.
According to a news release, the casino has welcomed 50 million visitors and paid out more than $2.7 billion in jackpots. Caesars has contributed more than $2 billion in taxes since 1998.
"We're looking forward to celebrating with our guests all month long concluding with a $2.5 million giveaway in reward credits at the end of November," Brad Seigel, general manager, said in a news release.
Caesars Southern Indiana employs more than 1,100 workers. According to the release, the casino has contributed more than $280 million in philanthropic giving since it opened.
In 2019, a $90 million land-based casino replaced the original Glory of Rome riverboat casino.
As part of the 25th anniversary, Caesars is offering promotions like a $2.5 million reward credit giveaway on Nov. 25, which can be used on hotel stays, food and more.
