LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Do you like a cup of coffee in the morning? Maybe even two? Unfortunately like everything else, the prices are starting to rise due to tariffs.

Whether it's tariffs, bad weather, or rising shipping costs, we are starting to pay more.

A viewer recently saw a 9 oz. can of Folgers Coffee at her grocery store for $9.11, a near $5 price hike from the cans at her local Walmart.

Coffee prices are perking up again this summer as a result of a new 50% tariff on Brazil that just took effect on Aug. 7. Couple that with inflation, and coffee shops and sellers are being hit hard.

Slowly, those costs are getting passed along to the customers.

Starbucks said it has no plans to raise in-store drink prices this fall, but reports say bags of Starbucks are up as much as $2 this year in grocery stores.

So if you can find a sale on Starbucks, Folgers, or any brand you like, you might want to grab some before prices go up again.
