LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A local family-owned company announced it is expanding its operation to southwest Louisville.
ISCO Industries announced Thursday it will be add a new facility in southern Louisville on Johnsontown Road. The company makes polyethylene structures such as manholes, tanks, fittings and geothermal vaults.
The new $12.75 million investment will create 50 full-time jobs.
“Building on our New Kentucky Home requires not only welcoming new businesses to our state, we also need to build on our existing partnerships to create even more jobs for our people,” Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear said in a news release. “ISCO Industries has been a great Kentucky-based business for more than 60 years, and I am excited to see the company continue to grow in the decades to come.”
Construction on the new facility is expected to start next June and be completed by June 2026.
The company is headquartered on Witherspoon Street in downtown Louisville, and also has a fabrication facility in Louisville's Riverport, where 75 people are employed. The family-owned business was founded in 1962 and has more than 30 facilities across the U.S. and Canada.
