LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A popular Louisville barbecue restaurant is firing up plans for another expansion.
According to our partners at Louisville Business First, Four Pegs Smokehouse & Bar will open its third Louisville-area location in Jeffersontown this summer, bringing a new Texas-style barbecue concept to the growing dining scene on Watterson Trail.
Owner Chris Williams told LBF the restaurant is expected to open in mid-July next to 3rd Turn Brewing at 10410 Watterson Trail.
The new location will feature a Texas-style carvery, where meats are sliced and served to order in front of customers — a approach that remains uncommon among local barbecue restaurants.
Williams launched Four Pegs in 2018 after operating the Café 502 food truck. Since then, the restaurant has built a following for its barbecue and community outreach efforts, including providing meals to residents facing food insecurity.
No official opening date has been announced, but Williams told Louisville Business First he expects the Jeffersontown location to welcome customers sometime in mid-July.
