LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Donut lovers were celebrating with high fives near the Highlands on Tuesday.

Hi-Five Doughnuts opened its new location at 1960 Harvard Drive near Bardstown Road at Douglass Loop in the Belknap neighborhood. The donut shop has giant donuts in unique flavors.

Patrons can build their own donuts, choosing custom glaze and toppings. Hi-Five Donuts also offers sandwiches and a coffee bar.

The store will be open Tuesdays through Fridays from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., and Saturdays and Sundays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Hi-Five closed its Butchertown shop in 2022 and planned to reopen shortly thereafter near Bardstown Road, but construction issues halted the process.

Louisville's first female owned and operated doughnut food truck started rolling in 2014 specializing in unique confections.

Hi-Five opened its Butchertown location on Main Street in 2017.
