LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A bar is reopening in NuLu after moving from Butchertown, according to our partners at Louisville Business First.
The High Horse Bar closed its Butchertown location on Story Avenue in December. The bar moved to a new location at 810 E. Market St. and will open at 2 p.m. June 20.
The venue previously housed Gray Market Design and the Dreamland music venue.
Bar owners said the focus will shift away from live music to emphasize a bar-centric atmosphere.
"We're excited to open our doors in NuLu. It feels like the perfect home for High Horse," Humphrey said in a news release. "This new chapter lets us keep everything people loved about the original bar while bringing something different to the NuLu neighborhood. We can't wait to welcome everyone back."
The owners told Louisville Business First they invested about $200,000 to renovate the new space with an enhanced bar experience and outdoor patio.
The High Horse originally opened in 2019.
