LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Kentucky is preparing to open its very first Publix Super Market.
A grand opening is scheduled for 7 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 10, at the store at 2500 Terra Crossing Boulevard, east of Interstate 265 near Old Henry Road in east Louisville.
The 55,000-square-foot store is the first in the state and one of three new locations in Louisville.
The supermarket chain is also working on other locations on Flat Rock and Shelbyville roads, and Ballardsville and Brownsboro roads.
Publix said it's still hiring, and will employ about 150 people at the east Louisville location. To apply, click here.Â
