LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Kroger is breaking ground on a store in east Jefferson County this week.

The $32 million project will feature a Starbucks, gas pumps and a drive-thru Wine & Spirits Shoppe. It will be 66,000 square foot store located at 10010 Ballardsville Road, near New Chamberlain Lane.

"Kroger has been part of the bluegrass landscape for 95 years and counting," Kroger said in a news release. "We look forward to expanding into the Louisville area with this exciting storefront that includes new designs, and a larger fresh department to give every customer a full, fresh and friendly shopping experience."

Kroger currently has 23 stores around Jefferson County. The new store will be located at 10010 Ballardsville Road.
