LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A Grayson County man pleaded guilty and was sentenced to prison for holding a local realtor at knifepoint over a house contract.

Keith Rowe, 71, pleaded guilty to robbery in the second degree, unlawful imprisonment, terroristic threatening and assault. He was sentenced in April to 15 years in prison with five year probation and six months of home incarceration.

Rowe was arrested back in June 2025 for assaulting and threatening to kill an elderly realtor in the Falls of Rough area over a $225,000 contract for a house he wanted to buy for his niece.

After the elderly realtor was assaulted by Rowe, he told police he handed over the contract and got away.

According to police, Rowe also told the man if he didn’t hand over his phone, he would "beat his brains in."

The elderly victim then drove to the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office to report the incident.

According to court documents, Rowe’s family was able to find him using the Life360 app, which showed him driving on Kentucky 54 toward Leitchfield. Family members convinced Rowe to drive to the police station and turn himself in.

He was initially charged with robbery in the first degree and kidnapping, but those charges were amended down.
