The suspect, Armond Langford, 32, was arrested later that day and faces multiple charges including robbery, kidnapping, and assault.

Police said the men left with an undetermined amount of money.

Court documents said the value of the ambulance is $500,000. 

Kurtis Smith, 22, was shoplifting when he was stopped by a Lyndon Police officer and two Walmart security guards.

The first robbery happened about 1:30 p.m. when a man reached across the counter and stole cash then fled the scene.

Crawford was originally convicted in 2006 on multiple burglary charges.

Police said Ashley Jones conspired with her mother to kill her mother's husband, Harold Allen.

He is expected to be arraigned in Jefferson County on July 9. 

Police said the suspects stole the victim's vehicle, wallet and phone.
