LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A new BBQ restaurant moved into the Village Market Food Hall at Paristown.
Khalil's BBQ is moving from a previous location on Dixie Highway near Valley Station to Paristown, joining three other businesses already set up in the food hall.
"After 20 years in the industry, we felt The Village Market offered a great opportunity for us to focus on our restaurant business and capitalize on all of the events and growing activity in Paristown,” Khalil Batshon said in a news release.
Batshon is also a Louisville Metro councilman and is vice president of the Kentucky Restaurant Association.
Khalil's joins Bunz Burgerz, Banditz Pizza and Jeff's Donuts in the Village Market.
"Khalil's roasted meats and made-from-scratch food will be a hit with our customers and brings additional variety to our existing menu offerings," Wes Johnson, president of Paristown’s Food and Beverage Group, said in a news release.
The space comprises more than 5,000 square feet, and includes four local restaurants and a bar to serve guests inside the hall as well as outside on Paristown's green space. Crews transformed the space that held The Cafe for years into the new concept.
The Village Market is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday. The only exception is Jeff's Donuts, which is open 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
