LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A restaurant in Jeffersonville, Indiana, has closed its doors for good.

The Hooters restaurant located at 700 W. Riverside Drive along the Ohio River is now closed, according to our partners at Louisville Business First.

A sign on the doors at the Jeffersonville location directs customers to the remaining Louisville locations: 4120 Dutchmans Lane and 7701 Preston Highway. An outgoing message on the restaurant's voicemail confirmed the closure is permanent, LBF reported.

Last June, the Hooters at 941 East Lewis and Clark Parkway in Clarksville and the location at 4948 Dixie Highway in Louisville both closed. The location in Clarksville is undergoing renovations to become a By Golly's Bar & Grill later this year.

According to LBF, the old Dixie Highway location was purchased by Neil Huffman Auto Group last year, and the site is currently under construction for another business to move in.

Earlier this year, Hooters closed around 30 corporate-owned locations across the country after filing for bankruptcy in March, hoping to reduce the company's $376 million in debt. Due to the bankruptcy, Hooters will sell the remaining company-owned restaurants to franchises.
