LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Michelin-starred chef is bringing a new concept to Louisville.
Chef Jenner Tomaska and Katrina Bravo are bringing their new restaurant, Byrdie's, to NuLu.
The chefs are known for Esmé, an "acclaimed" Chicago restaurant.
Byrdie's will open inside Hotel Genevieve on East Market Street, in the former Rosettes space.
Rosettes, which opened in May 2023, closed abruptly earlier this month, to the surprise of employees. Officials for the hotel said in a statement that they were getting ready for a new concept, but didn't go into detail.
According to a post on the Downtown LOU Facebook page, that new concept appears to be Byrdie's.
The restaurant promises "a vibrant atmosphere and French cuisine with a Southern twist."
It's expected to open sometime this fall.
