LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A NuLu restaurant is now closed for good after just over a year in business.
Rosettes, inside Hotel Genevieve on East Market Street, abruptly closed on Monday.
Employees tell WDRB they were surprised by the sudden closure and were not given notice.
The hotel issued a statement saying it's getting ready for a new concept, but did not go into more detail.
"To make way for an exciting new concept, the all-day restaurant at Hotel Genevieve, Rosettes, is closed as of Monday, August 5. We look forward to seeing the space evolve as we welcome new food and beverage partners in the coming months," the statement read. "The hotel continues to invite visitors to the city and locals alike to experience new and ongoing programming at our other unique food and beverage venues, Bar Genevieve, Lucky Penny, and Mini Marche."
The restaurant opened in May 2023.
