LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Louisville business that's more than 150 years old will be closing soon.
Burdorf Interiors has been open in several locations throughout Louisville since 1867. The current owners purchased the business in 1993, and it has been operating at 401 N English Station Road for the past 10 years.
"There are several ongoing factors that led us to this decision, but most importantly the loss of our owner and leader in 2020 is the key reason," Burdorf Interiors posted on Facebook. "Allan Morris led this company for almost 30 years, and it isn’t the same without him."
The store has begun to sell off all of its current inventory and stopped taking custom orders. Current orders aren't affected by the closure.
Burdorf Interiors will remain open until all merchandise has been sold and delivered. The store is planning for Aug. 10 for the last day of general operations on the showroom, but deliveries and pick ups will still take place until all orders are fulfilled.
