LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Neat Bourbon Bar and Bottle Shop in Louisville received national recognition.
The bar on Bardstown Road in the Cherokee Triangle neighborhood opened in 2022. Last week, USA Today listed Neat as one of the best bars in the U.S.
Louisville Mayor Craig Greenberg congratulated the bar's owners and staff on Tuesday for the accomplishment.
Owners said the bar's ability to sell vintage spirits that aren't available from distributors is one of the reasons people keep coming back.
"They get to try something from the year they were born, or the year they graduated high school, married or anything like that," said Owen Powell, owner of Neat Bourbon Bar. "But you also get to try stuff that you can't taste anymore. The distillery has shuttered or the brand got moved to another distillery so that's what we like to do is pour stuff that you can't have anywhere else."
Powell said owners are proud to be in Louisville and appreciate the community's support.
Neat Bourbon Bar is located at 1139 Bardstown Road.
