LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A new Brazilian steakhouse will soon open on the site of a former car lot in Louisville's east end.

Gaucho Urbano Brazilian Steakhouse will open at 2103 S. Hurstbourne Parkway in the fall, according to our partners at Louisville Business First. It will be operated by two Brazilian natives: Vilmar and Renata Zenzen. They currently own and operate Brazeiros Authentic Brazilian Steakhouse and Benfinita Modern Italian located at Fourth Street Live! in downtown Louisville.

This will be the second location for Gaucho Urbano, which first opened in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, in 2018. The eatery is known for its authentic rodízio-style dining experience. It also includes an all-you-can-eat, rotating buffet with meat served directly to diners by servers.

Louisville's Gaucho Urbano will feature private dining rooms, a bar with a curated wine list featuring more than 150 labels, a spotlight on Kentucky's finest bourbons, and a selection of handcrafted cocktails, including the iconic Brazilian caipirinha.

Vilmar and Renata Zenzen sent the following statement to Louisville Business First about the new location:

"We’re excited to bring Gaucho Urbano to this incredible city. Louisville has such a rich food culture, and we can’t wait to keep sharing our passion for Brazilian cuisine with the community here."

The Zenzens originally launched Brazeiros in Knoxville, Tennessee, before opening a second location in Fourth Street Live! more than a decade ago. As part of the agreement for Benfinita, their restaurant group committed to a 10-year lease extension for Brazeiros, reaffirming their dedication to Downtown Louisville.
