LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Thousands of people are getting a jump on holiday shopping on Black Friday, the traditional start of the gift giving season.
WDRB's Keith Kaiser got in the middle of all the bargain hunters out early to catch some bargains.
He started at Best Buy in St. Matthews where there was a line of people on the sidewalk braving the cold before the store opened at 6 a.m. One man had been in line since midnight.
Most people were looking to score electronics including televisions.
The Outlet Shoppes of the Bluegrass opened early for shoppers to check out the stores. Most opened at 6 a.m. Lines soon started outside popular shops like Nike and Bath and Bodyworks.
Many people make it a family tradition to hit the stores the day after Thanksgiving in search of the best deals.
