LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The New Albany 16 Theatre announced plans Friday to make movie tickets cheaper.
Phoenix Theatres Entertainment, the company that owns the New Albany 16Â Theatre, said all seats for all shows will be $7.49 starting next Friday, Sept. 20. There will only be upcharges for 3D movies, Fathom and special event features.
The theater had a special over the summer that offered movies for $5.99.
Theater officials said they want people of all incomes to be able to enjoy Hollywood films.
