LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Louisville technology company that moved to southern Indiana in 2021 is now returning to Louisville with plans to bring hundreds of jobs along with it.
Vsimple, a software service company, will invest $5 million and create nearly 200 new "high-quality" jobs, Mayor Craig Greenberg's office said in a news release Thursday. The new Louisville location hasn't been revealed.
The project will get $500,000 in state economic development grant funds approved Thursday morning in Frankfort by the Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority. As part of the incentive deal, Vsimple must create and maintain 194 full-time jobs in Louisville, paying at least $60 per hour.
In 2021, the company invested more than $1.8 million in its new home on East 4th Street in New Albany.
