LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Taiwanese-American restaurant is set to open in the spring in the space formerly occupied by a popular German restaurant in Louisville.

TANA — an acronym for Taiwanese New Americans — will be a new concept on Goss Avenue in Germantown. Chef Ming Pu and his wife, Courtney Pu, teamed up to remake the former Eiderdown space, according to our partners at Louisville Business First.

"We've been working on this since 2020. It came together in spring 2024 when we signed the lease," Pu told Business First. "When we saw that location, I started seeing restaurants pop up like North of Bourbon and a lot of others nearby. It almost feels like the old Bardstown Road. I'm really excited for that. It seems like everyone is welcoming diversity and different backgrounds."

Pu has worked in Asiatique, Brooklyn and the Butcher, The Exchange Pub & Kitchen and 502 Bar & Bistro.

He said TANA will feature a 90-seat dining room and bar as well as a private dining room for up to 40 guests.
