LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The LEGO Stores plans to open a location in Louisville.

"We are super excited to be announcing LEGO to the public," Oxmoor Center General Manager, Kendall Merrick said.
According to the company's website, a store will open at Oxmoor Center in November. It will be the first location in Kentucky.
The closest stores are in Cincinnati, Nashville, Indianapolis, St. Louis and Chicago.
The store will be next to the mall's Apple store and will be open from Monday to Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Merrick says it's not just a pop-up shop for the holidays.
"This is a long standing store in Oxmoor Center," she said.
The owner of Bricks and Minifigs in Middletown says he has been advocating for LEGO to come to Louisville for a long time.
"We're really excited about it," Bricks and Minifigs owner, Adam Blust said. "We hope that with a LEGO branded store being in town, that it will create more enthusiasm for Lego in general."
LEGO Stores feature "pick and build" walls, where patrons can choose specialized bricks and elements in a variety of different shapes and colors. Additionally, the stores are staffed with "brick specialists" who help patrons pick out the LEGO sets they're looking for.
