LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A man died Friday night in a hit-and-run crash in Louisville.
Louisville Metro Police responded around 8:37 p.m. to a report of a pedestrian hit near Southern Parkway and West Evelyn Avenue, which is close to Churchill Downs.
Officers found an adult man unconscious in the roadway. Investigators said the man was walking in the area when a vehicle hit him and left before officers arrived.
Police and EMS performed life-saving measures, but the man was pronounced dead.
LMPD’s Traffic Unit is investigating.
