LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The Clarksville police union reached a tentative agreement on a contract with the Town Board of Clarksville after rejecting an offer over two weeks ago.
On Aug. 5, the union unanimously rejected the town's contract offer. The agreement comes after more than a year of negotiations.
A formal vote on the contract is expected during the next Town Board meeting on Sept. 2, 2025.
"The Union would like to thank the Town Board members for their support and for the opportunity to meet and to discuss these issues directly," FOP Lodge #144 President Tyler Jackson said in a news release. "In addition, the Union appreciates the public support provided by citizens of Clarksville."
