LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The name of the man killed in a hit-and-run on Westport Road on Thursday morning has been released.

The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office says 32-year-old Kell Palletti died from blunt force trauma.

Palletti was riding a bike on Westport Road about 4 a.m. Thursday near Westport Middle School, when he was hit. Police are still looking for the driver of a white pickup that witnesses say hit him and left the scene.

Pieces of the bike were found on Lyndon Lane. Police say the driver stopped and tried to remove parts of the bike from the truck's grill.

Anyone with information about the crash is asked to call the anonymous police tip line at 502-574-LMPD (5673).
