LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville Metro Police pulled a man's body from the Salt River early Friday after he went missing after jumping from a boat near West Point earlier this week.
Officials with the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife said Derik Walker disappeared just before 1 a.m. Wednesday. Officials said two other people were on the boat with Walker, fixing a light on the bow of the boat, when Walker jumped off the boat to swim. He was last seen swimming backward, toward the Salt River, when he disappeared from view.
The Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife is leading the investigation.
