LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A man was taken to the hospital late Thursday after he was shot in the Russell neighborhood.
It happened around 11:30 p.m., according to a news release from Louisville Metro Police. That's when officers from the 1st Division responded to a shots fired call in the 1700 block of W. Chestnut Street.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found a man with "what appears to be a non-fatal gunshot wound." He was taken to UofL Hospital for treatment where he was listed in serious but stable condition, according to the release.
