LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Ten people housed at the Bullitt County Detention Center tested positive on a drug screening for methamphetamine.

Bullitt County Attorney Tammy R. Baker said an internal investigation was started after the inmates tested positive for methamphetamine. Investigators said an inmate on a road work crew had his significant other drop off methamphetamine at the work site.

The drugs were brought back to the jail and distributed to paying inmates through laundry.

According to a news release, all cells have been searched at the jail by officers and K-9. No additional narcotics were found.

The name of the inmate who distributed the drugs hasn't been released.
