LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Two men were arrested in Oldham County after police found them in a hotel room with a large amount of drugs.

According to court records, Salvador Casteneda and Marsial Tiscorino live in Oregon and Washington state.

The Louisville Division of the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration executed a search warrant Wednesday night at the Quality Suites in La Grange at a room rented by Tiscorino as part of a drug investigation.

Officials said nothing was in the room, but they found three to four kilograms of suspected fentanyl in a trash can in the hallway near the room.

Surveillance video shows Tiscorino meeting with Casteneda, grab a bag and put it in the trash can, according to an arrest citation. Casteneda then dropped Tiscorino back at the hotel.

Police said Tiscorino was seen getting out of a vehicle, then returning to the vehicle to get "what appeared to be a grocery sack and a black bookbag-style bag" before going back to the hotel room.

Casteneda, who never exited the vehicle when dropping off Tiscorino, left the hotel.

As part of the investigation, officials said calls were monitored and they learned he agreed to meet at a business to pass out drugs for money.

When he arrived to the location, where police were conducting surveillance, troopers approached Casteneda, who "was not cooperative." Police said a K-9 was deployed "with a positive indication," but nothing was found in the vehicle.

Casteneda has several drug trafficking convictions and has served prison time in the past, police said.

Both men are now facing drug charges and are being held at the Oldham County Detention Center.
